I sold an inexpensive coin on ebay.($11.50 shipped) Buyer sent a note with payment which stated the following; "Add a little something to the package for perfect 5 star feedback." I reported the buyer to ebay, cancelled the order & refunded the money. Has anyone else had this happen? What did you do? My first post.

Wow, what a shady way for free extras. Good for you for simply ending the sale and reporting him. What's next, if the ransomed freebie doesn't meet his grade or value demands from a want list, he'll make up negative feedback? The extortion could have no limits.

That's a new one. I think I would have been tempted to go out and find a bit of dog poo and send it in a Ziploc with the coin

Well done. Feedback extortion at its best.

That is pathetic. I am a buyer only and can not imagine telling a seller to do that. Sad to see the level some people will stoop to try and get something for nothing.

It is particularly pitiful because it is just a low value coin.
By the way, do not send dog poo-why make the post office suffer? I am sure that sending noxious substances in the mail is illegal.

Every once in a while, I consider selling on ebay again (instead of just continuing my hoarding), then I see something like this. Some people can be real jerks. Good for you, not giving in and reporting them.

The low coin value is what upsets me the most. It's a nice Ike in blue holder I listed it along with a few others. I listed with a start price of 99 cents. I have never sold anything that low but it's Christmas time. I hoped a few people who wanted some Ike's could win these auctions for a little less than all the BIN's I saw. Well Ho Ho Ho & a zip lock full of snow

 It would be nice to know the buyer. I have plenty of room on my BBL.

I thought you were the seller?
You should have the buyers ID readily available.

I am the seller. I was simply looking at the paypal transaction I printed. It lists the buyer by the name he goes by on ebay which I don't mix up with his personal information. Since you are listed as "Dad" with 14293 posts I would like to get this right.

This is the name I had to use to block this buyer from future transactions;
