I'm new to this website, I have a 1977 Kennedy half dollar that doesn't have a mint mark, and has a bulge on both sides, as well as extra metal on the rim of the coin, pretty sure it's a mint error, any help is appreciated

I split your reply out of the dormant thread to give it its own attention.

no mint mark would mean it was minted in the Philadelphia mint. Halves minted in Philly had no mint mark until 1980, when they added the P mint mark on the obverse in the same location as the D.

I can't visualize the other things you mention, but I'm inclined to guess damage. Could you post a picture of your coin?

No mintmark means Philadelphia

The bulge sounds a lot like damage
