Finish On Coins From The 2017 My Canada, My Inspiration Sets

punman Pillar of the Community Canada 849 Posts	Posted 03/31/2017 09:41 am People are pulling individual coins from these sets and selling them individually. I have no problem with that. But many are advertising them on ebay as PROOF-LIKE even though the Mint is describing them as uncirculated finish. If they were proof-like, would not the Mint indicate that on the packaging? These year sets at $26.95 or $19.95 or whatever packaging configuration they are in, just look like coins would look like from a bank roll. They are not coins from solid silver sets. Every coin has been carefully hand-selected to ensure you get the best samples of their kind" In reality, you would likely find coins of the same quality in new bank rolls. The Mint has been doing this for quite a few years with the uncirculated 'proof-like' sets. They are no longer special strikes, just picked from the pile of circulation coins.
