For those of you who shop for coins on ebay you know how frustrating it can be, what with the poor photography, the same worn-out junk showing up week-in and week-out, and, well all of those pet peeves we have regarding ebay. So, I decided to close my account.

ebay gives you 60 days to change your mind and, in a fit of boredom I decided that I had better reconsider, so I contacted ebay and they reinstated my account.

About 15 minutes after I had it reinstated I was going through listings and making new searches when, all of a sudden, up pops a coin which I had been unsuccessfully trying to find for years! Better yet it was a Buy It Now listing with crisp, clear photography, and so here I present to you my reason for not giving up on ebay yet....

I will put in my $0.02 comments on ebay.

Buying or bidding on a coin(s) on ebay, patience is definitely a virtue. There are days I see a whole lot of nothing.

Poor quality photos in my eyes can be an opportunity (a potential great cherry pick) or a bad bet. I won more times than I got burnt on a seller's poor quality photos.

I'm sure most of you all reading this, have HD - High definition monitors or an iPad or some tablet with great resolution.

Collecting is part patience, luck, and frustration, and not in the any order.

I love taking chances on blurry photo coins. It's like buying a scratch lottery ticket, but with better odds.
I can (most often) read through the seller's blurs and scans - and hidden treasures can be found.

2131 positive feedback as a seller. 2 instances where " ebay policy" left me hanging.

to discount ebay as a viable selling, and/or buying platform puts you at a world wide disadvantage.
