That's a good buy. Here in the UK you quite often see Young Head sixpences of the 1870s and 1880s in junk bins, but early ones like this are seldom seen, and if you do find one, it's usually worn almost completely flat with the 'SIX PENCE' on the reverse virtually gone.
Hard to find any British silver coinage in the US, junk bins or otherwise. Not a bad coin, not valuable, but not bad either. This is one of those coins I like to purchase in hopes to pass it on to a young kid to spark some interest in the hobby.
