Is that machind doubleing beneath ONE CENT or simply an optical delusion?

I had not noticed anything there before. I do see hints of something - perhaps a little Die Deterioration? Maybe I'm just delusional?

I think 999 is referring to CC's coin. I know it's in the area where die wear shows up a lot, but I think it's another plating issue. jmo
