1979 Susan B Anthony Dollar / SBA Souvenir Set With Wide Rim....need Some Advice

Terror Of Zanarkand Valued Member United States 317 Posts	Posted 05/01/2008 09:48 am Hello all, I have a 1979 Susan B Anthony dollar souvenir set, and the P dollar is a Wide Rim. I'm having trouble deciding on whether I should keep it together as a set, or if I should send the Wide Rim off to be certified. Any help anyone can give me on this, as far as the value of the set with the Wide Rim intact is, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Report this Post to the Staff

The wide rim SBA is not really worth enough to justify the expense of having it graded by a TPG- your grading fee will be as much or more than the coin is worth. Report this Post to the Staff

Only about 3% of these sets I've seen have the near date and attrition is huge on both types. This is one of the few I'd suggest might be best left in the original packaging. It's a $15 set wholesale now. Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps. Report this Post to the Staff
