Here are a few of the nicer commems we bought and sold last year.

What? No Old Spanish Trail? Yes, I know I'm just being greedy! But that one is my favorite commem... Nice pictures, thanks for sharing!

Ooh! Thanks- ask and ye shall receive! I love that commem, but it's not one everyone likes. My dad said "Why would you want a dead cow on your coin?"

I will have to admitt. That my favorite commemorative is the 1982 George Washington Bicentennial as designed by Elizabeth Jones. If I recall it was the first coin designed soley by a woman. As a note I prefer the uncirculated version over the proof version. It's much rarer.

I have to agree with you catman. A very nice coin that is so overlooked in my opinion. These coins can still be picked up in the $5 range in either proof or uncirculated. With a total mintage of 2,210,458 in unc, that seems pretty good for the price. The proofs have a total of 4,894,044.

Your dad may be right Rachel, but it sure makes my heart go pitter-patter a little faster than normal.

Has anyone else had difficulty with rggoodie's link? I have tried cutting/pasting and everything else I can think of but can't get it to work for me.

That's funny! You can just about picture QEII doing that too...

Old Dan- the Spanish Trail is one of the few coins that Dad and I don't agree on. I guess everyone can't be perfect!

Thanks, Catman. The link in your message worked. And let me say that it was well worth the wait. [OO!].

Richard, I also checked the link in your latest post and that link works fine. Probably something funky in my computer on the other one.
