foundinrolls Pillar of the Community United States 3507 Posts	Posted 06/15/2008 10:02 pm Hi, Zinc Plated steel planchets that we used for striking cents in 1943 as well as a coin for Belgium in 1944 keeps the price down on these. There is really no way to tell if they were from our production of cents in 1943 or the production of the 2 Francs pieces used in the Allied Occupation of Belgium in 1944. In any case, the weight you would want to verify is 2.70 grams. Have Fun,Bill Report this Post to the Staff

As pointed out before, 3.11 grams is not the correct weight for a steel cent planchet. Report this Post to the Staff
