carmykle Pillar of the Community United States 2448 Posts	Posted 09/20/2018 10:25 pm I was selling this on E Bay but I noticed some irregularities. With the void, and the doubling, Can I call this an error coin? Should I hang on to it? Also, is this a metal flow problem on the obverse and is it just Machine Doubling on the reverse. Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 09/20/2018 10:34 pm Had to put my thinking cap on for this one! The lettering is slight MD, not an error. That section in the design is most likely a struck through debris, that has come off. It could have been a dollop of grease or a metal piece, but it made the metal form around it. I'm not an error collector and I'll take all the advice I can get. I'll just list the coin as having a possible struck through void and see what it does. carmykle Pillar of the Community United States 2448 Posts	Posted 09/21/2018 1:27 pm Oh, by the way, I have a Proof coin of the same design and what I thought was a "stuck through" appears to be part of the coin's design. The proof coin has the same space, in the same area, but the space has a mirror-like finish. Go figure... Report this Post to the Staff
