1996 D Penny: Is This Just Die Errors On Both Obverse And Reverse?

I can see some lathe lines and doubling on the obverse as well as on the reverse. In addition, I see some trails/wavy steps that I believed are no longer considered as doubled dies. Is this worth submitting for examination or grading? Again, looking forward to hear from your expert opinions. Those lines you see are not lathe lines. They are a result of die wear or are a problem with the planchet. I'll let the real experts chime in but, nice as it is, I don't believe this is a quit-your-job coin. Regardless, I'd keep it and protect it in a flip. Report this Post to the Staff

Plate Disturbance Doubling (or whatever you've got here) is pretty common.
