Can anyone identify this Russian coin? I'm not finding it in the Standard Catalog. Thanks in advance!

To me it kind of reminds me of the Peter II Ducat coin; it has the same face on the front, but but the words around it don't match.

It's some kind of fantasy nonsense. Ask for your money back if you paid a fortune for it.

I had a feeling. Luckily I paid very little as it came in a large lot of world coins. Thanks!

As pointed out by the original poster, this coin cannot be found in English language catalogs. There is a 2 kopek coin with a reverse that is similar: https://www.NGCcoin.com/price-guide...duid-1539672. I have also seen this type (KM-n56) listed with a Bitkin catalog number of 609, but I do not have access to that catalog.

Does your link give a catalog number or some other reference for the coin? (Sorry, but I cannot read Russian).

Even for a rare coin, it would normally have been cataloged.

(This is a money sistem of Peter III period. This coin "2 #1082;#1086;#1087;#1077;#1081;#1082;#1080;" is the test of portrait coin edition. The test of portrait coins like this were released in a small circulation. And these coins are very expensive). Sorry for my bad english ;)

Thank you for the information. Indeed, if it is a "test" or pattern for a coin that was never struck for circulation, it might not appear in a catalog.
