I was looking at numismedia.com.
For the 1972 penny and others they had something I would like to have
Explained.
It was 1972/72.
What is the difference between just 1972 or 1972/72?

Usually this is an indication of a doubled letter or number. Example is the 1942/41 Mercury dime. This is a 1942 made over a 1941 date. Possibly that indication was ment to say the same thing. A 1972 over a 1972. You see this a lot with many coins.

That notation is used for the 1972 Doubled Die.
