fortcollins Pillar of the Community United States 3675 Posts	Posted 09/07/2019 9:00 pm IMHO, the gouges on Liberty's nose, cheek, and neck and the contact marks in the obverse field beneath the chin and behind the head are at a 63 level, but the rim damage at 4 o'clock on the obverse and 1 o'clock on the reverse drop it to a 62. There isn't much difference in value between a 62 and 63 for an '04-O, however. Report this Post to the Staff

There are no less than a dozen examples in the SSDC registry with examples graded as high as MS65. It's more just a cool factor for collectors that enjoy coins struck from cracked dies...
