Looks like an alter surface. (Possible it had painting by a young artist?)

@skippy, I agree that this is surface toning, but you can confirm for yourself that it isn't a off-metal planchet by checking the weight.

Spence, sorry about that. I did check the weight and at first it spiked, then settled at 2.60 gr. A tad above by by no means unusually normal. And thanks everyone...
