My numismatic goal for 2021 is to finally finish my 7070.
I have the two Liberty Seated Silver Dollar holes left to fill.

Also in reference to my 7070, I'd like to upgrade my 2 Cent Piece. I had purchased all of Crazybo's misc. 7070 coins that he had updated himself at that point. One of those coins that I have yet to upgrade myself from that purchase is the 2 Cent Piece.

Everything else is unchanged from the September report (some specifics changed a little, but the wording applied just as well to the new versions).

I'd probably do a final report in another three weeks or so, but unless something changes significantly in my plans (...which is admittedly very possible), it will still mostly just be a copy of the September one.

I haven't added much since then -- only a couple of early pre-decimal Australian silver coins.

My year end progress report (items in red are new since Sept update):

1. Spend far less on coins than I did in 2019. That should be easy since I filled in a lot of gaps in 2019 ... but the remaining gaps are more expensive to fill. Epic fail! Am in the process of analyzing my spending pattern. But as a result, I met some goals I must have forgot to mention back in January

2. Acquire more early dated coins (1474-1506) that fit within my existing themes (i.e. avoid "scope creep" into new areas in order to get dates I am missing). I have gotten 1474, 1476, 1478, 1481 (all Burgundian Netherlands), 1482 & 1484 (both undated but attributed), 1490, 1494, 1495, 1499, 1501, 1503, 1505. Good year on this goal, though it cost me a bit. .

3. Acquire the few missing 16th century dates in my Kingdom of Poland OFEY: 1516, 1553, 1590. Done! The 1516 came from a CCF member, thanks, @giedrius. In addition, I've acquired over half my missing Poland dates in the next century: 1602, 1610, 1617, 1625, 1628, 1631, 1633, 1672, 1680, 1682, 1684, 1699, 1655, 1664, 1685. And have gotten these dates in which Poland did not issue coins (at lest not ones I can afford), but nearby places like Courland, Livonia or Silesia did: 1638, 1642, 1643, 1648, 1669, 1674, 1675, 1693, 1694, 1697.

4. Continue to learn. In order to fill in the gaps in my 15th-18th century OFEY mostly dominated by Poland, I have been learning about (and, of course, buying):
15th century Florence (with an assist from @spence)
16th and 17th century Silesian coinage
17th and 18th century Brabant

"My goals were to expand my halfcrown collection to have one coin from every reign back to Henry VIII eventually and knew it would be hard before Charles II. - Got James II and 2 coins before Charles II but anything earlier eludes me.

Also to complete the Halfcrowns from 1887 onwards and buy several rare dates. - I now have most dates from 1887 onwards and have just added 1903 and 1904 - only 1905 and 1965! eludes me between 1899 and 1970. Now have 1905 and greater examples of 1820, 26, 91, 96, 97 and 18 (Complete 1899 - 1964, also added 1817, better 1834, 1849 and some more 1870s and 1880s dates - AU range 1938 - 1942 and 1945/46.

There was also the ongoing upgrades of NZ Florins and Halfcrowns to at least VF for silver (1933 - 1946) and EF for Cupronickel (1947 - 1965).The silver halfcrowns are all VF at least now, but the Florin plan is on ice for a bit. I finished off the Kiwi Florins in September and have every date in at least VF condition including 1936 and 1946 Flatback, many coins are AU and UNC, along with a NZ Cupronickel Halfcrown upgrade in which all but 1947 are EF or better.

Also to buy silver coins of Ireland from 1928 to 1945.Good progress - added silver halfcrowns from 1928, 33, 39 and 40
No more here sorry, very few Irish coins on offer

So far the Half crowns are doing better than expected. I have all but 2 dates of the 1908 - 1951 period and now have all the rulers from George II forwards. I have also added Anne, Charles II and even Charles I and today the Commonwealth (Incredibly hard). James II, William III and him with Mary II along with George I elude me. A big thrust to get modern dates has meant I have only removed William III to this list- but its still only June

I won't even bother with Henry VIII (Gold one type only), Edward VI, Mary, Elizabeth and James I until I win Lotto, all 3 of my 17th century coins have cost an arm and a leg. James II cost me $270 but its a big box to check and makes me happy.

NZ goes well, with all but 2 dates of the silver halfcrowns upgraded and now 3 early Cupronickel ones replaced with AU coins. The Florins have started well with 4 silver dates now with VF - EF lustre pieces.Bought 2 errors, a one diamond 3d of 1942 and a strapless bust 1957 6d.
Added to this strapless 3d and many upgrades of coins to VF/EF 3d's are mostly complete upgrades and a few 6ds and 1/-. Good buy in of EF/AU 1950s shillings and AU Halfpennies 1951 to 1965 except 54/55.

Ireland I have added a EF 1928 Florin and just bought 4 early halfcrowns in the same condition along with a stunning Choice UNC 1966 10 shilling piece.

Fiji goes well with 8 silver coins and the rare 1940 Halfpenny - for a Pandemic year I need to be thankful and congratulatory and also blessed."Pretty much left it for time being

Another big achievement was adding two very nice Southern Rhodesian Halfcrowns, a gorgeous 1927 South African one and a decent second Boer one

Also started collecting Egyptian and Turkish silver coins of the Ottoman Empire

My global change collection has also improved.

Also got back into Australia big time, with 27 High grade silver florins, a big $2 coin collection with many coloured $2 coins, mint sets and most dates of 1c to 20c of Australia, several dollars etc.

Overall 2020 has been an annus mirabulus with over $7,000 poured into my coin collection.

The other side effect of the Halfcrown collecting was branching into English Florins in August and with the help of another instant collection of mostly average material and several skilled buy ins, this has also taken off and grown well and I now have about 60 different florins going back to 1849.

2021 is consolidation, but perhaps with some spending reductions.

In 2020 dollar terms, my spending average on my current collection has worked out to be about $2,000 per year, over a period of over 40 years.
Haven't sold any coins, just building the collection, with the same single minded collecting goal.
