I just found a 2002 D quarter that may be struck on silver planchet. I have my doubts, but sure does look like it. the only reason I doubt it is it weight 5.66 grams. I also know that if it was supposed to be silver it would of been struck in San Francisco and would have S mint mark, this coin has D mint mark. The only reason I even question this coin is its edge. I found coin roll hunting, opened a roll up and there is nice silver edge looking at me, I was amazed and puzzled when I seen it was a 2002 D State Quarter. Is it possible that all the copper was covered during strike. There is absolutely no copper showing.
