(Roll Searching) The wear by the U & M of Unum and what seems to be extra lines by the wheat stalks on the reverse seem strange. The finish also looks weird. foundinrolls Pillar of the Community United States 3507 Posts	Posted 10/22/2008 12:03 am Yep...That was an acid bath....You can take a nice shiny copper composition cent (pre-82 composition change) and sit it in vinegar for a few days and it will look similar to this one. If you do, place the coin in a small bowl with vinegar but cover the bowl with plastic wrap so your home doesn't end up smelling like the vinegar. Thanks, Bill Report this Post to the Staff
