I found my first Wide AM cent in change. It's a 2000, and it's a little worse for wear, but it's mine and I found it. It's about friggin time. I've seen and examined hundreds of these things, but having lived in the D mint district all my life, the occasional scattering of P mint cents was never enough to realistically better my chances in finding anything. Well, now that I live in a place where 95% of all cents in rolls are P mint, I have much better chances, and have finally hit one.

This coin is hardly worth pictures - a couple bucks value at most, and nothing outside the ordinary Wide AM coin. The only reason I posted about it here is that I have been complaining all year that I had never found one, and here yesterday I finally did. People here were feeling so sorry for me they were offering me their duplicate pieces so I would have one, and I refused all offers because I stubbornly wanted to find my own...and I get a little grumpy when I look for years and never find something that should be easy to find...and I'm not the type of guy you want to be around when I get grumpy ;) This is me on my new Harley last weekend...Would you figure this guy to be a Lincoln Cent expert?

Great Pic Chuck! and no you look nothing like a Lincoln Cent Expert, but then again, what is a Lincoln Cent Expert supposed to look like anyway? Bike. Probably not as nice as this FIRST 2000 Wide AM you just found (LOL) Just do me a favor- DON'T find a 99 before me! You can find all the 98's and 2000's you like, but please, no 99. That coin is driving me nuts trying to find!

Chuck......Sorta like seeing a radio DJ for the first time and matching the voice to the person. Nice bike! If you are ever up by Pensacola with your bike, give me a shout and we'll take a ride through lower Alabama. I ride as often as possible and have a bunch of riding buddies from Hurlburt Field.

Today I found a 1998 and another 2000. I guess Florida is the place to be for these.
I never found one in Missouri and am about to move back. I'll have to be sure to take $100 worth with me.
