Is there a latest and greatest product that will clean without damaging the coin or show signs of cleaning? Verdi-Care has good reviews but not available. The 1946 S Cent may not be worth cleaning but using as an example since it's not typical dirt or gunk. Report this Post to the Staff

Removing original surfaces and turning a coin pink, pretty much reduces the coin into the circulation face value amount. Most had core collectors look for the best examples. Anything less, they pass on. Why? Why deal with a problem coin. when buying, keep in mind that someday you may want to sell that coin. So why lower the value by altering reducing the value. The original surfaces go away when they are attempted to be altered. Why ruin a coins collectable life? Report this Post to the Staff
