Is this post mint damage? This kind of stuff confuses me.

The light is from the left in the first pic.

If it was post mint damage wouldn't it have caused damage to the four? The area to the west of the 4 is raised and runs north and south.

I'm not sure about that one. It's odd.

It looks like an error. It could be a planchet error, such as an occluded gas bubble. If so, try pressing gently on it with the tip of a toothpick while observing it under a microscope. If it flexes, then that would indicate a gas bubble. It could also be an incipient lamination that hasn't split open. It could also be a die error, specifically a die dent. Hard to tell from here.

I took a pic. of where the line exits north of the date to the "T" in trust. The edge shows signs of a lamination separation.
I took mikediamond's recommendation with the toothpick and it did move. Being it's a 1974 it's no doubt a lamination error. At least that's what I think.

rockdude,
I don't think it's a gas bubble because it's a copper Lincoln,i think it's a planchet error,but lets wait for the pros.

I forgot to mention that when I pushed on the coin with a tooth pick it did not spring back. So now its not as defined as it was before.
