If he has a video...then just whatever he says. I would only add that I recommend doing this purely for fun and not to get your hopes up for $$. Coin hunters do find coins that are sellable, but now that finding silver is very rare, I've never met one that made a profit after accounting for time spent. cladking Pillar of the Community United States 2276 Posts	Posted 02/13/2021 09:36 am The easiest way is to put together sets by date and mintmark by saving the best specimen of each coin in a folder. You'll quickly learn what each date is supposed to look like and learn about the anomalies from varieties and errors to " Dryer Coins". The set will also become a great reference collection when you need a coin with which to compare a new one and can become a source of pride in itself. Only you decide what constitutes the best specimen. I like well made coins with little wear and no marking but it's each their own. These sets are mostly very inexpensive though the states and parks issues are $25 each. The one cent set costs less than a folder to hold them. Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
