S denotes the San Francisco mint. It used to make regular business strike coins like the one you have but today they mainly make proof coins. S mint coins aren't inherently more valuable but there are some rare coins that happen to be struck there.

Not sure what you want to know but I will tell you what I know.

They are made from 95% copper and weigh 3.11g
The S means they were struck at the San Francisco Mint.
There were 409,426,660 business strikes
There were 2,612,568 Proof strikes

So as you can see,they are pretty common.

Common date, these are easy to find in mint state. Hole filler worth 1 cent.
