Love rare and collecting coins.
I actually just came across this 1991 P or D dime.
And cannot find any other like it to see if its authentic?

Yeah I thought about that and had my buddy look at it and he said he didnt think it was that becuz of the confined area? I don't know I'm just sayin and tryn to find out

I agree on the heat/campfire diagnosis. The reason that it might be retained to one area like it is may have to be due to the fact that it's a clad coin.

The dime appears to have had heat applied--perhaps localized. Photos should be in focus and high resolution--obverse and reverse.

Kind of a neat looking "Zombie" coin but most likely just from heat as the others have stated.
