Looking for some help on identifying the cause of 2 dimples on the obverse of a 1971 Kennedy half dollar. The largest dimple is near Kennedy's temple with a smaller one near the base of the neck. I am not sure what the cause is. Any help would be appreciated. Furthermore, does this add any value or collectability?

You might never know exactly what caused it unless you were there but it is damage. There is no way
that could happen during the striking of the coin.
Being damage, it adds no value, in fact if that was worth more than face, it would decrease the value.

Yes, we've seen BB examples here before. Certainly not a mint error. What the coin's reverse looks like?

There is no damage on the reverse of the coin. That's kinda what I was thinking after y'all said damage. Thanks for the help.
