Richard you just flash a few bucks in front of the spouses, when the collector is NOT at home, and your problem should be solved!!! I am fortunate that my wife collects and knows whats going on but a great number of collectors have spouses who just don't understand so there is where you make your coin snatching attack, so to speak!!!
I have a buddy who's wife absolutely didn't have a clue about coins and for years relayed the sediment that we are all nuts! (me included) Recently my friend decided to sell a few of his items off to raise money for a family project so she decided to tag along to the coin dealer for the fun of it. Quite honestly she went along to really drop the hammer on him for wasting his time, effort and money on such stupid endeavors! After selling off a few items and returning to the car she was STUNNED beyond belief when he said the dealer didn't buy everything but still managed to purchase $2,200.00 worth of coins!!! Now my buddy is concerned that his wife is so interested in the hobby that she may decide to sell off a few coins (of his) should SHE ever feel the need. Ended one monster and created another!!!

I still say go with the guns! The only way you would get one of my precious errors would be when you pry them out of my cold, dead hands.

For those of you wondering why a blob of metal (a Cud) behind the first kangaroo's ear is know as a rabbit ear, perhaps the 2000 rabbit will enlighten.

2006 Rabbit Var 2 - The Spew roo
http://www.coincommunity.org/galler...hp?pos=-1753

I have posted a new photograph of the 'small eared' 2006 rabbit, aka the 'Spew Roo'. You will note that that there is an area behind the era where the Cud will eventually form. The metal is beginning to bubble.

Yass - my Misses can't understand why I collect them and don't spend them.
any time I sort grade or catalogue - she is off like a shot.

Maybe she is out looking for rabbits.

I can't knock her- she always manages to come up with coins for me on special occasions like birthdays and fathers day-

Maybe I need a few more birthdays each year.

[Thank you Yass. I wasnt sure if I had found a rabbit ears as I had not seen one before. With the ears so large I thought it might have been classed as something else. this 2000 is my first and hopefully I can find him a friend real soon.]

We went through just shy off 6000 this morning came across loads of 2006 MOR but again no rabbits, found a few NCLT and an upset. But our best find came at the supermarket when we received a roll of 2007 APEC $1 Coins.

That is very kind of you craig_vt, thank you very much for still keeping me in mind. I must say that I'm amazed you can find the patience and energy to sort through six-thousand coins in one morning! Well done.
