Another downer for proof cameo, is that some of the very sharp design detail is lost in order to produce the cameo effect. That is why I prefer a perfectly struck business strike in MS-70. Amongst other things, they are much rarer than PF-70 coins.
Interesting to see how the rimming is achieved. Thomas Simon, with his Petition Crowns, in a similar process, used parallel lettered bars to roll his petition statement onto the edge of the coin.
