I have this 1977 half dollar the only difference in the coin is the weight: 11.1g. Is that normal?

Your Kennedy half is well within the 11.34 g +/- 0.454g tolerance. You chose the correct forum, Kennedy half dollars are considered modern coins.

I think you should check your scale. While 11.1g is within tolerance it is on the low side and to have a "whole bunch" that weighed low is questionable. Typically they are closer to spec than that.
