If the area you are looking is in incuse mark (sunk into the coin) it is coin damage, not a doubled eye. A doubled dye lid would be raised above the design:

Given the photos posted, it appears the area in the vicinity of Abe's eye took a few circulation hits. Not a double(d) die, in my opinion.
