I can't imagine how this would happen in the minting process. Am I wrong and if so how?

Tough one, looks like it was broadstruck, but image reversed. Could it be broadstruck and a die cap?

Out of collar off cent struck, though another coin? The devices are mirrored from the reverse of the second coin. It was probably bent a bit.

Wow , a zlincoln at that... Looks legit mint error to me at least, so 52 dollars for this is nice and cheap if I would buy it . Now this is a Mike Diamond/coop coin...

Kind of low eye appeal but a very nice error. As Coop notes it appears to be a broadstrike with partial brockage from being struck through another coin.

what a nice looking error coin. Nice to see an actual error being sold on ebay and not being sold for an astronomical amount
