Please let me know what you think of this 1939-D. My pictures unfortunately did not capture the nice luster that is present especially on the reverse. Is the toning original? I paid $4 for it. Thanks!

I see some wear on the cheek, beard and on the wheat grains, I think this coin would grade AU-50.

It is pretty sweet coin. Echizento is the man when it comes to grading.

A little hard to grade because of the angle of the shots. Personally, I don't see any wear on this coin, it looks mint state to me. The lack of hits and the cleanliness of the fields scream mint state. I go somewhere in the range of MS-62-63. The toning looks completely natural to me, it's very nice. The price you paid is in-line with an MS-63/64 coin.
