Here is a 1896 Morgan, nothing special.

There are quite a few marks on the cheek of this one

Thanks,
Jordan

I would say MS62, but could go to a 63 if the luster is nice enough to cover a lot of those marks.

I'd say MS60,maybe 62.It doesn't have that much luster.

Sorry. It's just that from the pic it doesn't seem that way but you are the one who has seen it in person and I need to remember photos take off luster. If you say what's true,it has more luster than the pic.It could go MS62.

No need to apologize. I definately understand about the pics and luster...
Is there really any good way to capture that?
Rest in Peace

JD, I'm going through the same quandary. After too many years, I've decided a digital camera is the only way to go to capture the luster of Mint State coins. I have a great scanner, but it just doesn't do justice to good coins.

My first impression of this Morgan is MS-62 or MS-63 based on what might be bag marks on Liberty's face and neck (which may be a function of the scanner), but I tend to over-grade slightly from images, so I'll play it safe and say MS-61 or MS-62.
