nick10 Pillar of the Community United States 3207 Posts	Posted 02/18/2022 7:43 pm Full steps became the norm for business strike Jeffersons sometime around 1990, you can figure out exactly which year by surveying what you find. A couple dates/mints of the early 1960s are unknown in full step. By decade, FS examples from the 1960s and 1970s are the toughest to find. By contrast, FS War Nickels are fairly common because the softer alloy struck up more easily. Report this Post to the Staff

I personally save all FS examples prior to 1987. As correctly noted above, there are some dates in the mid-1950's through the early 1970's where FS Jefferson are practically unheard of - and quite valuable if you can find a nice MS example.
