IMHO -I feel sorry for these folks. I just wish they would do some research and be better informed before wasting their time and money. I think "stupid" is too strong a word. Just because folks in this community are better informed on this topic doesn't make us any better- only better informed in numismastics.

Clembo: "This is why stupid people shouldn't breed."

That's a dangerous thought.

Here is what HSN has for sale

Here's the link:

http://www.hsn.com/todays-special_x...S*5405503*na

I never thought I'd say this, but that's not a bad deal from HSN. It includes 2 free ANACS submissions, 2 MS65 certified rolls, and 2 MS67 certified coins for under $50.

I really don't see what the big deal is. Someone has an item to sell and people are interested in buying. I guess the market will determine the value. I also picked up rolls in Hodgenville. I may have to sell my remaining rolls and pick some up later at the bank. I already have some promised to individuals, but may ending up selling some.

That's a scary statement.

Thingee and anyone else that my statement may have offended I apologise. However, I can't find another word suitable enough to replace what I said.

I have an original "Wall Mart" roll of Sacagaweas that is store stamped? Should I put it up on ebay and hope for some (name your description) to buy it because it's so rare AND unsearched at an exhorbitant cost?

I can think of a lot of words for the bidders. I'll keep them to myself.

Clembo: your statement really hit me especially because I just finished watching a 2hr documentary on the Holocust.

But, yeah, there are many words I would like like to use against such bidders- but this isn't the place. There will always uninformed folks for these shucksters to do them in. Many lessons are learned the hard way, if ever.

That's just insane! Not only is the mint going to manufacture BILLIONS of these coins, they'r going to be heavily hoarded as well. Not too long from now, these buyers are going to be very very sorry. I really think these must be newbies who need some guidance, or people with way too much money.

Education is key. I am not trying to brag but I've been at this for 25 years. I understand free market economics but these folks IMO are just taking advantage of the new comers to our hobby that don't have an ounce of experience. Some may say they are doing nothing wrong and they are probably right but, what's next? If you are going to buy one of these rolls at this inflated price, why don't these same buyers purchase a 1964 Roosevelt dime in BU for $100. I don't see any difference.

As long as its not my money, I dont care I guess. People will be doing this all year long, get used to it. Its the year that all sorts of bs will be floating around about the cent and all sorts of people will be fooled into buying stuff that has a bunch of lies behind it! OMG the last year of the penny, get them now, yada yada....

I'll get my rolls for face and laugh at the rest.

I'm confused (duh) How can there be two 100 dollar bids. Wouldn't the second bidder over the first 100 dollar bidder have had to increase the amount? What am I missing?
