Hello,

I was wondering if this might be a doubled ear 1998 penny. It doesn't look the same. It seems to have an extra ear lobe under the ear. The coin is definitely a bit dirty, but I just found it coin roll hunting. Thank you for the help!

Note the incuse mark on the ear lobe? That is a contact mark from the edge of another coin. The overall size of the ear is normal. Just damage on that area making it look like something that it not. Just a normal coin.

@eca, since best practice is to start a new thread for each new coin I have split off your post into this separate thread. That will help to ensure that your coin is given an appropriate level of inspection and review.
