It's now mid-January, so I have to ask. Has anyone who ordered (actually pre-ordered) a 'Special Wrapped QEII Memorial Toonie Roll' either from ebay or TSC received their order yet? RCM is silent on this item so far, as is TSC. Some ebay sellers are still offering them as 'pre-order'. Is this item going to be another Mint-mirage? I know the circulation rolls are available, but I would like to get my hands on a 'Special Wrap' if it does become available. And NOT at the inflated ebay price.

There is talk that the Royal family is not too amused with the RCM making money on our former majesty, so the delay. One would think either the RCM will donate the funds from these rolls or the RCM will just re roll them into the shrink wrap format and just release these special rolls into the bank system.

The shrink wrapped rolls from the banks are just the opposite, the coins at the ends looks amazing like maybe ms 65, great to see the special wraps hitting retail stores

"$2 Special Wrap Roll - Honouring Queen Elizabeth II" is available for pre-order for top-tier members of RCM and CC&C starting today. The price is $79.95 per roll. However, RCM says the mintage is unlimited, while CC&C says the mintage is 30,000.

I would not even bother with the special wrap....just paying high price for paper. The one roll I ever ordered and cracked was a mess of coins. virtually EVERY coin in the roll was so banged up I would have had better luck getting them in the wild.

One wonders if the process of rolling a paper wrap causes more friction on the coins such all the marks, if you get a chance to see the poly rolls the coins look really well struck

Ended up flipping mine for a quick buck. Was offered 160, then 200, told them split the difference and let's do 180. Feel kinda bad seeing they're being released to public tomorrow for 79.99 plus tax. Buyer was happy to get them early but may still shoot a few bucks back.
