Found this first one on a 2007D LMC and the second on a 1958D wheat, or could it be a gouge. The second one has someones handy work on it, like a wire brush.    Edited by rockdude

The 1958 is a die crack, and the coin is harshly cleaned.

I would say the 58 is a die gouge to thick to be a die crack also the shape.

The shape is absolutely indicative of a die crack. It is sharp edged, jagged, and is not in a specific curved or straight line.
Die cracks and die gouges look completely different from one another, and I would think with 30 years experience studying coins I would be able to tell the difference.

No, a chip is missing metal. A crack is an opening in the metal. There is no missing metal on the 1958, just a crack in the metal. Chips and cracks are two different things.
The reverse images are of chips.
