can anyone give me a honest opinion? New to this. This dime weighs 2.25 grams.. On the reverse you can see where the edge of the coin should be. on the front you see where the edge of the is. Not sure if this is a wrong planchet. Has correct dia

It is only a damaged coin. Maybe been in a parking lot or someone filed the rim. Did not come from the mint like that.

@thum, this dime has been similarly damaged as the other one you just posted. The ground down rims are not a mint error.

Thank I don't know much but when compared to the actual dime the line on the circumference is to far in, if it was filed that rim would be completely gone. The thickness is the same all around, the dia rim is too far in

If you can grind down a dime with out touching the rim ring that is the end of the dia, it is impossible. you would damage the entire dime and not see the ring. Thank but for what little I know I disagrree

You new welcome to your opinion - but it is wrong. That coin, like your other, was damaged after it left the mint and is worth face value.
