Do not settle for a coin just because you've found it, make sure that it is a purchase that you will be satisfied with for years to come. More than likely if you buy a coin that you've settled for, a better example will be right around the corner but you've already spent you're money on the inferior coin.

It is a hard lesson to learn to pass up a coin. ND has one of the most level heads in this area that I know. Patience was never one of my virtues but I am learning. I have now passed up 3 hammered silver coins that I wanted for various reasons. One of these was in my price range but I wasn't completely happy with the portrait. It's getting easier to wait for the right one, though.

Good stories- even more detail you feel like giving it. Your coin is the prototype of one "key" to a series.
Susan, But I want my coins NOW ;)
Rest in Peace

Congratulations! Many years ago I got them all except for the 09S-VDB and the 14D. I don't tnink the 22 "plain" and DD's in any way diminish the accomplishment. You have the real set. What are you working on now?[:p] Mike

P,S Great looking photo's and coin!!!

NDGOFLO is NEVER going to tell you folks he is accepting DARKSIDE coins (Euros) very discreetly! I think it is BEST if he comes out with this new addiction so we all can be sympathic and understanding! First it is the Euro and next it will be the WORLD!!! All of you darksiders out there.....ndgoflo is ONE OF US!!! Sorry but I just had to let that slip out!

OH MY!! I oversleep a couple of hours and everybody starts gossipping about me, telling all of my darkside secrets!! I will never be able to give up on my US collections. I have a set of Peace dollars and Walking Liberty halves that I would like to complete. But I guess the cat has been let out of the bag. C64 is correct in the fact that the Euros have been enticing me lately, but the truth is that I am presently assembling a set of XF/AU Canadian Large Cents. only a few issues have mintages over five million, with most running about one to three million, yet the values associated with such are very affordable.
Rest in Peace

Maybe he was camping out on the range, kicked back by the fire in his sleeping bag awaiting a stampede of Buffalo.

I had better not find out Catman went buffalo hunting without ME!!! Just thinking about sitting around that camp fire, looking at our coins in the moon light, eating some beans and jerky, sure stirs some very recent memories. Now for the stampede part, well I could live without that as a p--- off buffalo can be very unforgiving! (Just as I would if Catman slipped out with out me) Was KYRA there too?
