While sorting through the massive lot of rolls I bought a couple months ago I ran across one labeled "1955 S Freaks". I pulled the top few coins out of the roll to check them out. As far as I can tell there are die chips on the 9, 5, & S causing them to look filled. Hoping someone can tell me if that's correct and if there's any value to these.

Looks to me like an accurate description of three die chips between the date and mintmark. Not sure how much of a premium there is though.

Yes, die chips. The '55 S has a high incidence of these.

Adding a slight MAD on the obverse and (hard to tell) maybe an internal die crack as well. Thanks, Doug.

As Dearborn said. There were a lot of them in the 50s. I kept them years ago, until I found out they were common. Sounds like whoever put up the rolls did too. Keep them if you like, just not much of a premium on them.

Very common, I'm afraid.
