I picked this FS-801 yesterday from a local coin shop.
I think it will straight grade but will see what NGC says.
I am soaking it in acetone as there is a little green in a few spots near some of the devices .
Regardless if it does it's a cool find.

On the FS 801 there should be a die break from the below the eagle's beak to wing tip, and a die clash behind the eagle's head. Nice find. I am at AU53/55.

Slider I meant to put this is 18.2 so the clashing has been polished

You are correct the 18.1 has the die break and clash.

I paid XF-40 to 45 money for a regular 78s so I'm happy regardless

I am not seeing any hairlines on photos. The scratches on reverse fields should not detail the coin. Where did you buy it at?

I picked up a PCGS 1878 S a couple weeks ago in a GC auction, and I bought the colorful 1873 NGC at Heritage. I have not bought any of my Trades raw as it is hard to find a quality Trade dollar that is not graded. You have done a very good job on some of your raw purchases. You are also ahead of me on the CC buys as I still do not own a CC Trade dollar.

Local coin shop
I just try and buy known varieties from the trade varieties I know and make sure to test them at my shop when I buy online.
I also have bought a super rare 76 S type II/II with the large S it's cleaned but they don't come around often.
I also have a 78cc on layaway
