JasonKflo Pillar of the Community United States 1694 Posts	Posted 06/25/2023 3:24 pm I picked this FS-801 yesterday from a local coin shop. I think it will straight grade but will see what NGC says. I am soaking it in acetone as there is a little green in a few spots near some of the devices . Regardless if it does it's a cool find. Slider23 Pillar of the Community United States 4469 Posts	Posted 06/25/2023 4:36 pm I am not seeing any hairlines on photos. The scratches on reverse fields should not detail the coin. Where did you buy it at? I picked up a PCGS 1878 S a couple weeks ago in a GC auction, and I bought the colorful 1873 NGC at Heritage. I have not bought any of my Trades raw as it is hard to find a quality Trade dollar that is not graded. You have done a very good job on some of your raw purchases. JasonKflo Pillar of the Community United States 1694 Posts	Posted 06/25/2023 4:48 pm Local coin shop I just try and buy known varieties from the trade varieties I know and make sure to test them at my shop when I buy online. I also have bought a super rare 76 S type II/II with the large S it's cleaned but they don't come around often.
