2000 D New Hampshire Q Improperly Annealed Planchet?

I read a lot but don't comment much as I am still learning a lot and don't think I have much of value to add, yet. But I do have another question for y'all. I have this 2000 D NH quarter that is obviously odd. At first I thought it might have been one of the ones struck on the dollar planchet that I've heard about but it weighs 5.7 grams so I don't think that is it. From looking online e it looks like it could be the result of an improperly annealed planchet. However, not knowing enough to be certain of this I thought I would ask the experts here. I'm in Terre Haute IN and we do not have a LCS and the collecting group looks to have been inactive for a few years so I really appreciate y'all sharing what you know. Report this Post to the Staff
