I got a call from my mother who is on her way back from visiting my grandmother out of state. I got excited when my mother told me my grandmother (a long time collector) wanted to give me some of her collection. My mother was non specific about what she got other than mentioning a 1915 Barber half dollar, 1883 silver dollar, 1935 silver dollar, lots of $1 and $5 silver certificates and what she says (lots of dimes and pennies). cant wait. Ill let everyone know what else I get.
It must feel nice that some of your family collected coins and currency, and thought of you to have when the time comes to "exchange hands to watch over the collection", please share photo's.......

Where do I find MY coin collecting relatives that want to give me their stash?
I never gave coin collecting a thought until inheriting both my grandparents and great uncles collection. I didn't even know they collected coins, as they never said anything about it to my parents. It's kind of amazing they kept such a massive collection such a secret.
