I've found quite a few nickels with die dents, but this is the first penny, with what appear to be die dents.

They seem to be the same width as the columns of the memorial - could this be a rotated counter clash? Most likely not - a die dent seems more plausible, they seem to run the length of the coin under the memorial.

Hadn't thought of that. There is a light clash mark in bay 4
But, I'm still thinking die dent: There is also another "anomaly" which runs from the center of "U" in unity through the "O" in one. Can see a slight refection of it in the full reverse, but it was too faint to photograph separately.

My thought is it could be remnants of Feeder Finger Damage that a mint employee tried to polish away.

The top section (to me) definitely looks more like a die dent. The bottom part, into the T of cent has me wondering (there are certainly some polish marks there). But it seems to affect the T, not just go under it. A ribbon could, theoretically, have been push into the die to affect the T

(p.s. If I sometimes seem argumentative, I am just thinking "out loud", trying to process some of the proposed possibilities. )

You're not being argumentative at all. Just throwing out my opinion on what I think as a possibility. Everything is all good. Just food for thought.

I'm leaning toward the die dent/doink explanation. Would be fun to examine this one in-hand.
