Just got off the phone with Jaime Hernandez at PCGS. They graded the coin MS-62red. How ever since it was the first one they have graded they forgot the " Close AM" designator and once I receive the coin I have to send it back for redesignating and reslabbing. I guess I can't complain since they graded it for free. But I miss my coin Kie

Please keep us posted. Nice that they did a freebie for you. Surprised that pcgs forgot that tiny detail :) Glad you went with them instead of ngc and the repair dept. Either pcgs or anacs would work. I prefer anacs on these type coins but everyone has there reasons for choosing a TPG. I put up a post yesterday about the first one found and then i saw this one. Now I see who is who on the 2 finds. Thanks.

Congrats on the MS-62 grade! I just can't even believe they messed up on the holder label. That coin is a HUGE deal, that's just something you don't mess up, especially on a coin that was "walked through"!

Wow Bullnuke, its so funny I just got thru reading about this on "numismaster" and thought how great a find it is and then went to my usual coin forum and found this is where you first posted it before you sent it for grading, I feel we are part of history here, Thanks! Anyway Congrats! I too cant believe how they messed up on the label! oh well it proves it happens to the best! Feel free to bask in the glory and limelight! you deserve it!!

Yes I was suprised when Jaime called and informed me they messed up the label. Whoever receives their coins messed up also as Jaime had to track the coin down initially after I called him to check on it several weeks ago and he wasn't aware they had it. So much for writing "ATTENTION JAIME HERNANDEZ" all over the inside and outside of the package. Begining to feel unloved :):). I wonder how many coins they lose each year, if they are grading 100,000/month and had a 0.1% loss rate that would be 1200 coins a year? just a question I have no idea if they have ever lost one. Just hope they don't lose mine.

LAST UPDATE (I hope) received the coin from PCGS, sending back today for proper designation. Spoke with 2 different people from Heritage, I was a little disappointed/happy afterward. Seems they are afraid to place a value on the coin, but that was the expected response, how ever they seemed real hesitant to even consign the coin for auction and subliminally(probably not the correct term but I do not have my dictionary, don't trust the internet, and it is early) suggested it might sell for less than the 92Ds are selling. I just got the impression they were not real familiar with the variety. Also I was not ready to pay their reserve fee should the coin not sell. Nothing against them they seem to be a very fine auction house. So I am inclined at this point to keep the coin. I was thinking when I finally find the 92D and the 98 I will have a complete set of circulated WAM/CAM and would only have to buy the proofs to possibly be the first to finish the set? series? :):):).
On a separate note, who would like to open an aution house with me BIG MONEY to be made. :):):):)

Hi, I've been following this story/thread/news for a while with great interest, as I'm sure a lot of other collectors have. I just wanted to jump in to say congratulations and that I'm real happy for you. I hope you are able to complete the CAM/WAM series soon and I look forward to seeing pics of them all.

Just saw the Numi News front page article. I read it and said "Old news." because I knew about the coin from this forum. Bullnuke is part of the family. Congrats again.

The good news is that a Google search for "Coin Collectors Forum" has CCF in two of the top three results. The bad news is that Collector's Universe is the #1 result.
