I just tried this contest, I got 203 Lincolns out of a jar and after several attempts of getting maybe 85 at best .... I give up. I think this would work with VG or worse because the sharp rims are the hard part to stack. After about 8 crashes I noticed I found a beautiful BU RED 1975 sitting there off to the side with a bit of a golden tone. So I spent the rest of my efforts looking for maybe another nice coin but that was about it. They are going to the bank next change drop off. except the 75 LOL! 140 ( Gforce ) is most impressive now that I've tried it. Congrats to you steady fingered high stackin' contestants, this is harder than one would think.

Just checking in.
Got the goodies all set to go. I figure I should wait until the end and possibly save myself some shipping if there are multiples going to the same people.
I hope no one minds if I wait until the end to do all the shipping at once. At the end I will go through and gather everyone's shipping info.

Quote: latman100, Are Aussie cents consistent rim thickness? I was wondering the same thing. US Cents are very uneven.

Nice stack Gforce. My hat is off to you. I'm having trouble getting there. What is your secret? Please share.

Sorry, missed the question about Aussie cents. Yes, the rims are pretty consistent, they are on all our decimal coins. Makes for easy stacking Now I know why you guys were having so much trouble. I would get in touch with your mint if I were you and tell them to lift their game, quality control seems to be slipping How are you supposed to win stacking competitions if they are giving you dodgy coins

All of our Lincoln cents have a tapered rim . I can't understand why, when our other coins have consistent rims.

Impressive stack. I thought Gforce had it but then comes out the big guns.
Gforce- Dont forget you still have about 3 and 1/2 hours before the mini prize dealine of midnight tonight. And the grand prize is still on the table for the highest. Contest ends on the 15th
Nice work Chris, think it will win?

Chris, what I want to know is, how did you get them to stand up sideways like that? Man, I have to get a life.

I had to turn the camera sideways to fit them in the pic & still see the ruler.
