Hello Everyone

I was inquiring about a coin set. I purchased an Canadian Olympic 1972 Coin Set. It is in a brown case and there is 26 coins. I was wondering if anyone knows about this coin set and if it is worth anything.

Thank you
Becky

The set you describe is it an official Mint set or one of the innumerable privately assembled sets?

The was just told that the set that I have is from the Munich set. It has all of the Olympic categories. I was told today that it is not that mint the did this it was the Canadian Olympic Association. I can not find anything that resembles this set on the Internet. I will send a picture of it tomorrow. I even went to the Canadian Olympic Association and could not find it. I actually got this at a yard sale. I do not know much about coins and love to find out infomration about them so I am just learning.

Hello Beckers,

I've checked a book I have on RCM issues and I cannot find anything about your coins.THere are quite a few issues with Olympics but none for 1972 ( they start on 1973 I believe).A picture would maybe help.
What's the face value on the coins ? Do you know the metal that they're made of ?
