The Walker that you are looking at seems okay. I like the low starting price and the shipping is okay. Kind of hard to grade the coin based on the pics, but looks like a few abrasion marks behind Liberty. Could just be the photo.
For the ones you won, have you received the coins yet? Again in the pics it looks like quite a few abrasion marks. Again this could easily be the pics provided. Overall it seems as if you are doing a good job on the Walkers. Nice strikes on all three.
If you assume that the 1943 is MS-60 the current dealer bid is $25.00
The 1944 in MS-64 has a bid of $44.00
The 1941 you really did a great job on. Bid in 63 is $32.00 so I think that you really hit the ball out of the park on this coin.

I thought maybe it would be nice to put together a "war set" of walkers Just like the war nickles. A short set (15 coins) 1941-1945 but alot more affordable than trying to chase down the enire set. maybe at 1 or 2 per month. It could be a nice set when completed.

Grovey,
Let me suggest one thing. Don't put a schedule on finding and buying coins. If you put it in your mind that you will buy two per month, you will. Let me suggest that you look first, be as absolutely picky as you can be. Walkers are tough coins to find in the true gem grades. They suffer like many of the big coins. Marks litter the coins easily.
If I were looking to put together a type set of Walkers, I would start with the "S" mints. These are incredibly tough to find well struck in the grades of 60 and better. As an example, I looked through the upcoming Bowers and Merena auction and through the thousands of coins, I marked 8 for bids. All are beautiful, but not all meet the need. Don't rush to buy. Once you find that true gem, you will be so happy that you waited. This way, you will never think that the grass is greener if you would have waited.

WOW. Great advice. I just get caried away when I find really nice coins at reasonable prices. My wife on the other hand still doesn't get it. She tries and looks w/me but still sees it as a half dollar. I am trying though

Grovey, If I knew of a way to explain a collectors mindset to a non collector I would be rich. My girlfriend is shocked that I pay thousands of dollars for a Cent or any denomination for that matter. It amazes her that I make a living buying and selling coins that most would not believe were really a U.S. coin. I show her Half Cents or Half Dimes and she says "Yeah they are neat, but who would pay thousands of dollars for that little coin." Just be thankful that she allows you to look. Many collectors have to hide their obsession.

Man, ain't that the truth. I have a hard time explaining numismatics to my own family, let alone outside non-collectors - they're of the stock market mentality and despite the fact they've lost hundreds of thousands in the stock market, they don't understand how I can possibly MAKE money in the coin market without really trying. Fortunately for me, I no longer have a wife to whom I owe explanation, but whence last I was married, every time I bought a coin, I'd been made to think I was taking money out of the kids' food budget.

I sure hate to be a Kill Joy but I think I would pass on all 3. I don't like the way they were photographed. It seems to be hiding a bunch of blemishes and could be toned badly. Maybe not but I just don't like to take chances.

I have almost a complete set of circulated coins, but no MS. I keep telling myself no I'm not going to get started yet, to much $. Don't know why I hadn't thought "outside the box" earlier. DONT worry I won't drive the price up yet, I'm broke right now
