2006 Non Magnetic With REV Lump

I'm not sure whats happening here but there is a raised lump of metal between the bud and the leaf. Any explanations for this? I scanned a lot of angles and some closeups to help view it. Scanning leaves something to be desired, but its all I can do.

The lump actually spans from the leaf right to the branch, unevenly. There are also lumpy raised bits of metal from the rim, up and under the 2 through to the first zero of the date (20)

Could this be extra metal bulges due to die breaks? eroding beneath the plating? Thanks for any ideas here

PS: just ignore the white spot under the A of Canada. It's cigarette ash!
