What do you guys think about this one? Seems to be a pretty strong strike/good details. Any signs of a wipe or cleaning? Any other problems? I'm a little worried about the scratches in the right obverse field.. Any concern for me here? Or are light enough that they would be overlooked if I ever decided to have this graded by a TPG? AU-53, does look to have had an old wipe, but nice for this series actually.

I'd go AU-53 as well and it does appear to have been cleaned a long time ago, as most Seated dollars you see have had done at one point or another. |

AU-50. I like executive coin company, and it looks like a fairly nice strike for an "O" mint. I bought my Seated dollar from them, and it definitely had an old cleaning. TPGs seem fairly lenient on cleaning with Seated dollars from my experience, so it has a good chance. |

Thanks guys - I liked this one, and ended up buying it from them. They had it listed as XF+/AU.. So I think I did fairly well with the price. One of the things I really liked - which johnny54321 alluded to, was the strong strike for a New Orleans coin. Glad to have this one out of the way on my type set!

Finally have the coin in hand. Have any thoughts changed based on my pictures? Does the gouge (assuming that's a gouge) on the leg and chest kill this coin? It's much more noticeable in picture than in hand.   |

It may be a series of planchet flaws. Actually, that's what I think it is. They're not that noticeable in the picture even, so I do not think they're a big deal.
